What started as a friendly kitchen cook-off grew into something bigger: giving our team space to share their own stories and flavours. With many of them hailing from Myanmar, it felt only natural for us to learn and share the cuisine closest to their hearts—yet rarely explored beyond their borders.
Every Wednesday & Thursday evening in this 2-month-long Pop Up, step through the blue door upstairs at Table & Apron and join us for a dining experience inspired by the flavours and stories of Myanmar — interpreted our way.







iN mYANMAR, A TEAHOUSE ISN’T JUST FOR TEA.
It’s where stories are swapped, meals are shared, and strangers become familiar faces. In that same spirit, The Teahouse Upstairs is a room above Table & Apron where food anchors the night, but conversation and connection are what truly fill the space.
Dinner is a sharing set menu, best enjoyed in good company. Think of this as your invitation to explore some of Myanmar’s most loved flavours & textures - from pickled tea leaf salads (lahpet thoke) to a claypot pork belly curry slow-cooked in roselle leaves & bamboo shoots, and the punch of their signature fermented paste (ngapi) mellowed by crisp, fresh greens.

A PROJECT LED BY THE TEAM
Given just a short window and a cuisine most of them had never cooked before, the team took this project head-on. They experimented, stumbled, and uncovered more than they expected along the way. What’s on the table is the fruit of that adventure — equal parts grit, heart, and curiosity.
